Blog for Teachers - ESL Teaching

I see you have an ESL Blog, however it doesn't really allow community members to run a daily commentary on their experiences when teaching overseas.

Have you ever thought about offering such a service. Would be great to read how others are coping, what they feel and obstacles encountered when heading to a new country to teach.

Yes, thanks for your comments. This is definitely something we want to offer and have been looking into this for some time. The current functionality of these forums don't allow it, however we can possibly offer this via implementing some code changes.

Anyway, hopefully this can be complete by the end of September or early October. Will you be our first blogger?

The new area, also known as Journals will give members their own space for post whatever they want. Nobody else can comment on a members running diary entries. So we hope to have it running exactly like a typical blog system rather than a forum style.

i would really like to see a blog for the different city maybe like a sub catorgory or something....hmmmm ..... or maybe i'm really tired from staying up and writing my lesson paln at the last possible moment...WHICHEVER makes more sense

Sounds like a good scheme folks. There sure must be a way we can all "tap" into life for those interested enough to blog, and those interested enough to read them.

Lesson plans, what are those? I think I've written approx 2 since I came to China 2.5 years ago. I'm an improviser, I walk in, look who's there and take it from there, works for me!

Maybe a blog forum would be a good idea for newer teachers like Dessy, and who knows, maybe for us too! For myself, I write blogs in yahoo 360 and that's enough but if I see, or do anything interesting, I might blog here. We'll see what happens.

Maybe dude, just maybe. Usually my blogs contain a certain amount of profanity and are, quite often, totally irreverent. I'm not sure that this would be allowed here which would detract from what I really wanna say somewhat.
Also, I have hundreds of friends on Yahoo, been using it for approx 8 years or so. Maybe I can copy/paste....we'll see how cool!
