Re: How To Write a Resume

Your resume has to be a summary of your career. People tend to put all the things in the resume and lengthen it. It is not totally advisable. Always your resume should give a summary about your experience and abilities and this has to be the first and foremost section in your resume. Also usage of different fonts and formatting, putting pictures are not appreciated.

Remember the bigger the size of your resume more time the employer requires to read it and the employer has thousands of such resumes.

Re: How To Write a Resume

Get everything on one page if possible. If that's not possible, get as much of the most attractive material on the first page.

Re: How To Write a Resume

some companies scan their resumes for certain qualities, once you determine what those qualities are that the company may be looking for, you should make sure they are in the resume. Big companies exspecially do that.

Re: How To Write a Resume

I said before that nobody can write your resume better than you.

Resume writing is not a science, we can all do it. Just choose right format/template. Check out GetResume.com for Resume and Europass CV writing in English, French and Spanish

Re: How To Write a Resume

Yeah I agree writing your own resume is probably the best idea since you can tailor what you want to put in to match the employer's needs.
