![]() | I do not think so that we should write our resume. Its better to hire some expert in writing resume. They very well know what companies want to see in our resume. It is quite inexpensive. One feel confident when he get his resume written from some expert. |

![]() | Re: How To Write a Resume The important point to remember is what position you are applying for. The employer is interested in only one thing - What qualifications / experience you have for the position. That is what you need to focus on. Elaborate on that, and it should be prominently featured in the top half of the first page of your resume. If you are hiring someone to write a resume, make sure you specify to the writer what position you are looking for. |

![]() | Re: Appears to be interesting! I agree on hiring professionals to make your resume. It is much easier writing other people's resume than making one of yours. Sometimes we tend to complicate things and it might show on your resume. |

![]() | Re: How To Write a Resume Yes that is true, and most employers want to see a simple and to the point resume. Many times they have hundreds of resumes to go through and they want to be able to look over each one and pick out key points very quickly. |

![]() | Re: How To Write a Resume I don't think there's anything wrong with writing your own resume as long as you really take the time to get it right. There is certainly an art to resume writing and it's the small little things that trip people up; however, I think there are enough resources freely available to help get the job done right. That said, it probably wouldn't hurt to get a professionals advice, or at least get someone else to look it over and give you an honest answer. Last edited by gfell; Thu 23-Nov-06 at 06:57 AM. |

![]() | Re: How To Write a Resume I think that most people are capable of selling their own selves. You know best what you have done. There are many examples in books and online to help you with making it sound professional and technical. Getting someone else to write your resume sounds like an un-needed expense.....but maybe some people need that help I guess |

![]() | Re: How To Write a Resume I think most people can write their own resume. It's very helpful to browse around the 'net for a good free template, but for most people (especially teachers!) it's just not financially viable or even necessary. Just keep the resume under 2 pages, and make sure it's easy to read and well-organized. |
