 | Education, education, education Jack McConnell yesterday set out his vision of ensuring Scotland has the world's best education system within 13 years. The Scottish Labour leader gave his manifesto launch in Glasgow a strongly personal flavour, promising £1.2bn to education projects over the next four years. It came with a warning that other spending departments would have to "cut their cloth", meaning they will be denied extra funding in order to give education priority. More...
