![]() | Looking for info on TEFL schools Which ones are generally viewes as the most 'respected' of the TEFL courses? Obviously I would want to go to one where it is internationally recognized.....& not one that is viewed as an EFL teacher mill. Can anyone lend any advice on good options to look into... Currently I am looking into TEFL International..... Thank you. |

![]() | TEFL courses TEFL International has a good rep. So does i-to-i and INTESOL. I don't know of any TEFL mills around. Most of the places offering TEFL classes are quite good. |

![]() | TEFL Training Wherever you train there are two important considerations. One is that the course is Internationally Accredited. The other is that you are getting a minimum of 120 hours of instruction at Certificate level to hope to stand up as a valid training course. Needless to say if the course is Internationally accredited then this should be OK. Where to train? English Explorer an Australian internationally accredited company (by CITA) are just about to launch a totally online course. They have a site at English Explorer's Online TESOL Course in Australia but you would need to email them for info on the totally online training as its so new. I understand its the existing and well tried material repackaged, so should be good. Yes I know people who have used them and they give VG feedback. Hope this helps you or others. ![]() Hazar Last edited by gfell; Tue 18-Jul-06 at 03:28 PM. |

![]() | These online courses look ver tempting and are reasonable in price from what I have seen. Has anyone finished one, if so what was it like and did it seem as helpful as it should have been? |

![]() | TEFL Courses The TEFL Courses are cool. Checkout the course syllabus for each of the schools that are offering them. Usually they list the subjects you will be covering. They give you a good foundation so you know what to expect when you take up your teaching job. They have really taken off in the last few years I've noticed. Before, they were pretty much an optional qualification, but nowadays I'm seeing more and more job ads requiring these qualifications. |

Others are local only. Bear in mind there is no single independent and international accrediting organisation for TESL/TEFL training courses! ![]() | |
