| Re: On-line Certificate Program in Teaching ESL Teaching English as a Second Language certification is an add-on certificate available to students that currently possess a Pennsylvania Instructional I or Instructional II teaching certificate. | Re: On-line Certificate Program in Teaching ESL I recently saw an ad for an online/distance MA in TESOL from the New School in NYC. That'd definitely be a better program than most of the online TEFL certificates, but it will also cost a lot more and take a longer time to complete. They also offer a Praxis II exam for teaching ESL.

| Re: On-line Certificate Program in Teaching ESL If you are looking for a good online certificate program be sure you check TEFL Course Review. This is a site where TESL/TEFL courses (both online and onsite) are independently reviewed and rated by people who actually took the courses.

| Re: On-line Certificate Program in Teaching ESL While TEFL courses that include a practical component are favoured by employers, there are some online courses out there that are much better than others! i-to-i have just launched a new Online TEFL Course (as of Sept 2009) that is a huge step forward on their previous course and leads the field in terms of online TEFL learning. It's very interactive, has really good resources and tutors get back to you within 24 hrs. They have also just launched 'TEFL TV' where you can watch videos of teachers in the class so you can get a much better idea of how it all 'happens' in the classroom and how to put theory into practice. The best thing about most Online TEFL Courses is that they can be completed anywhere... even while you're traveling! |
