i-to-i abroad courses

Hi guys,

I live in Australia and am giving serious thought to a TEFL course abroad, like what i-to-i offer. Has anyone done this and can give some feedback?

I'm certainly interested in a TEFL course, but don't really see the benefits of an online course and weekend workshop. Hence my interest in doing the course abroad for a month (like in Vietnam). I don't have a degree, but I feel this is something I'd like to do for personal development and such. I have been told by others that I'd make a good teacher, so that's a start.

My other question is regarding the Australian government - is there an AusStudy option available for TEFL courses? The $3000~ needed for the course/airfare/etc is stretching me at the moment.

Thanks for any feedback,
Prizm

i-to-i is pretty good and is up there as one of the better ones. Support is good and really, you will get a lot out of the course. Only problem is that it's sometimes hard to motivate yourself if doing it via online as opposed to their weekend courses.

Please ask this question in a new thread. This is the TESL/TEFL forum. Thanks.
