Cost 4 Celta Certificate Australia - ESL Teaching

Hi,

I've been surfing around for 4 week Celta Certificate courses around Australia, and the general price seems to be AU$ 2600. Are there any cheaper options or are there TESOL courses to be found offering similar standards?

Try the following:

Via Lingua.
i-to-i (weekend TEFL course for less than $600).
La Trobe University offers a 4-week Cambridge CELTA course.
RMIT - 5 weeks Cambridge CELTA course. Full-time at $2800.
Australian Training TESOL Centre.

Any classroom based training will be over $2000 for sure. If you cannot afford this, then there are always online teacher training courses or weekend TEFL courses.

Another course to add to the list of valuable yet more affordable training options is the ICAL 100hrs TESL/TEFL course. You can read independent reviews of the course on TEFLWatch.org or check the ICAL Student Forum. PM if you want more detailed info.
