![]() | Testing Students Testing Oral Communication If communication is the goal, then it's the overall ability to communicate, not grammatical accuracy, that should be tested. It's not easy to test on oral communication. Resorting solely on grammar tests does not do justice to the student. Judgement of fluency will in many cases be subjective; however, if we cannot make those judgements with a reasonable degree of accuracy, our title as teacher of a second language means very little. |
