Teaching can be thought of as an art form. The teacher needs to continuously think creatively in order to keep students interested and motivated. Teaching involves the creation of environment and activities that effectively invokes learning.

Successful teachers utilise props and visual aids when teaching. Teaching methods that lean towards the Fine Arts include:

• Gestures
• Use of objects
• Miming
• Handouts
• Charts
• Tone of voice
• Videos and tapes

As you can see, teaching English is somewhat an art, where the teacher expresses themselves through props and visual aids.
