![]() | Make good use of break times Don't overlook the importance of using the breaktime to get students to mingle amongst themselves. A mingling activity during break times can increase speaking confidence substantially, especially if the task assigned was one level below the students' actual proficiency. Mingling activities at the lower levels require not only a task dialog, but also that the students sometimes write down the answers before they mingle in order to relieve the pressure of creating with the language. Some mingling activities would be:
