![]() | Volunteer Work Teaching English as a Volunteer Each year, more and more volunteer teachers are heading abroad to teach in various community schools of under-developed countries. Becoming a volunteer teacher is a growing trend amongst people of all walks of life. Volunteers programs typically range from a few weeks to a few months. Here at AAC, we have recently added an Aboriginal school in Queensland as an avenue for volunteer teachers to teach in. The Aboriginal school has a very limited budget, hence relies heavily on volunteer teachers and aid to educate young Aboriginal kids. The majority of volunteer programs involve program fees ranging from US$1200 for a 1 month placement. Inclusive in program fees are accommodation, food, airport pickup and 24x7 support services. Participants also have the peace of mind that they are volunteering in a program that is safe, clean and rewarding. Some of the more popular volunteer programs include:
