Relax and try not to be embarrassed

Teaching children can be a lot of fun. Especially when the children classes only have 3~4 students in the class.

When teaching children, the important thing to remember is to have fun with them. Younger students are always full of energy and very willing to try new things.

The beauty of teaching children is that they aren't ashamed of their actions and will always try new things.

My children classes are always active, and the parents sitting outside often hear the laughs of their children. Some of the things we do are:

• dancing
• singing
• jumping up and down
• running around
• rolling over
• wiggling toes
• stamping feet

It's a lot of fun. Although it can be embarrassing at times for the teacher, you just have to get over it. Once a month, parents view the lesson. I must admit this can be embarrassing because the parents also see me acting like a child and sometimes being a clown. But that's my job. The children are happy, the children are learning English and that's the ULTIMATE goal.

I do recommend all teachers to at least try a few times teaching children. I used to teach boring adults, but then decided to move over to only teaching fun children. You will surely have a blast.

It's great that you're teaching little kids. I wish to teach children too but I get so attached and I just couldn't bear that. Don't you get sad when your students have to graduate and you wouldn't see them on a daily basis anymore? I love children so much that's why I stay away from them.

Yeh, it is sad when you have to say goodbye to them. Especially if you have taught them from 2 years and watched them grow for a few years too.

I had the experience of teaching 2 year olds and some of them stayed with me till they were 5! Then it was time for me to leave but I felt sad of course. They were nice children.

As a teacher the best part of teaching children is to see them grow. Of course its sad when they go ahead with life but it is very pleasant when some of them come back to you, meet you on the streets and you can see them growing.

With Small children teaching is just enjoyment and fun and everytime with new sessions you find more and more funny and exciting toddlers joining you and the fun never stops !
