I guess that the best country to work/teach in would be different for all of us because we all get different things out of where we are. I love China, it's still an exciting place to be and is vast enough to travel each holidays without seeing the same place twice. Our wages here, if we're not lazy, are usually far better than locals but this also depends on where you live/work. The cost of living and wages are a lot less in the north than it is here in Guangzhou, but the wages here are far better so it's all relative. BTW; the title of this thread should really be..."What's the best Asian country to work IN" dontcha all think? Just a few more cents worth from this beer tasting exported Kiwi, peace y'all! ![]()

![]() | Re: what's the best Asian country to work for? I work in Russian-Mongolian Joint School #3 in Ulaanbaatar. They only have 4 native speaking teachers and don't advertise. There are a number of schools around but most of them don't advertise on the net. Santis is the only one i know of besides Hartford Institute that do advertise, but Santis is hell on earth. Don't bother with them. Check out the two separate listings about that school under the black list and you'll get the idea ![]() |

Not to bust anyones balls or anything but I've only heard horror stories come out of China, and S.Korea not being much better, but here in Japan there are so many schools it really depends on the school. I would usually rather work for an American/Canadian/English/Australian school owner than Japanese/Chinese/Korean school owner
