What To Bring To China?

As a person preparing to take the plunge and live in China for a year. What should I pack to make my life easier? I keep getting told that I should pack very light because I purchase everything over in China.

What did you miss the most? What would you tell someone not to forget?

Re: What To Bring To China?

What to pack? Well I would definitely take as much as you could clothes wise. I hate arriving to a new country and then shopping for clothes etc. So much easier having my favourite stuff already in the cupboard. I'm not much of a shopper.

But yeh, clothing in China is cheap. However, I don't think they will have big sizes all the time.

Thanks for your comments. Clothing check, that's the only comment I get from everyone this includes shoes. Anything else you could privately message me.

Re: What To Bring To China?

Clothes are ridiculously cheap in China, so keep that in mind when packing. Bring pictures, movies or games that you enjoy. You'll invariably make friends here, and want to talk to them about your home.

So just reminders of home. Nothing else? How long have you been in China? What do you miss the most, so far?

Thanks!

Re: What To Bring To China?

I've been here for over 4 months so far. What I miss the most is a nice girl I knew back home and being able to easily purchase cheap coffee. I might also suggest bringing a laptop with you. Laptop prices are the same if not more expensive here.

Oh yeah, as bosslove said very large sizes aren't easily obtainable here. So if you wear XXL, you probably want to do your shopping at home.
