Question Switching Jobs

I am really having trouble with my current school. I don't get along with my boss and my my teaching partner is a pain and can't really speak English. I want to switch schools a but I want to know if i can move to a new school without having to deal with changing my visa and other things. My headmaster told me I can't move during my visa I don't know if that is true.

One of my friends is working in Foshan Shimen Middle School, near Guangzhou, China, which is a really large middle school, with over more than 100,000 students and around 10 foreign teachers there. That is a modernized and biggest school group in that city.

You needn't worry about communication problem or other visa troubles because the teachers in the foreign affair office are very experienced. Furthermore, you will meet many native English speakers there.

For my friend doesn't know this website, so I write this letter to you. Of course all will be discussed if you wish to switch to south of China for teaching experience.

My email box: xiaozhiming447@sohu.com.
Pls reply ASAP once you see this letter and my friend will communicate with you in an official way.
Pls have a brief self-introduction with your reply.

Thanks a lot.
Hope you have a good time.

Re: Switching Jobs

Right now, this is a difficult option. All advice on visas is speculation at the moment. From what I've heard, if you change jobs you have to obtain a new visa in your home country. There might be some loopholes depending on how you leave your previous job and the amount of guanxi your new employer has.

There are plenty of decent schools out there looking for teachers, but the visa issue does make it difficult. Good luck.

Re: Switching Jobs

I have a question about going from a tourist visa. Can i get a tourist visa in china then switch jobs. That seems a little more likely for me because i really don't see my teacher being cool with me leaving her school.

Re: Switching Jobs

I would avoid going to a tourist visa at all! That would bring about so many unnecessary complications. You can simply just change you Z visa over to the new school. Infact most schools would consider this an advantage as they don't have to go through the whole process of applying for a new visa.
