New Semester dates - ESL Teaching

Hi Everyone,
what dates do you start teaching? I cannot find the academic term dates for china,
and do you have mid semester tests for your students?

The next semester will begin around the second week of September and go through the Chinese New Year early / mid February.

I've found it depends on where you're situated. Northern schools tend to have shorter summer breaks and longer winter breaks while southern schools have longer summers.
