![]() | Teaching assistants in Taiwan Is it usual for a foreign teacher in a Taiwanese school to have a teaching assistant? (Particularly when that teacher isn't fluent in Chinese). In China, I had a teaching assistant. She sat quietly at the back of the classroom mostly (asleep sometimes), but she was invaluable at the times I needed her. I guess that it's more expensive to hire people in Taiwan, so foreign teachers don't get teaching assistants. |
