![]() | Teaching in South Korea without a Bachelor's degree Schools in South Korea wont hire you unless you have a bachelor's degree. If you want to know what courses to take, then I would suggest as a bare minimum:
You can always consider teaching in Summer Camps, building up a rapport with the school, and then perhaps converting to a full-time teacher.

![]() | Re: teaching in korea with no BA Hi, I was wondering how you managed to get employment and a work visa if you dont hold a degree? I have been applying to schools and have been getting knocked back because I dont hold a degree. I do however have a TESOL certificate and I keep getting told that this is not enough. Would I be better off if I do a diploma course? I do hold a tertiary certificate in Pastrycooking and wonder if that combined with my TESOL will open doors for me? Any thoughts would be appreciated, cheers ![]() |

Something I would not want to do. You are at the mercy of your school and the law and have no case should you get caught. Quote:

![]() | Re: teaching in korea with no BA Hi guys I didn't get a reply from rwall7943 about what visa they had. If a person has an E2 visa then the only way to work is to fly under the radar. It is a requirement of the E2 to have a degree. If they have a temporary residence F2 visa (must be married to a Korean or have a ton of money) or a permanent resident F4 visa, then they can work without a degree. Only in the Hogwan system though and probably for smaller ones, maybe in rural areas. Cheers Mike |
