![]() | School holidays? What holidays/vacations do the schools in Korea have? My contract offers 10 days paid holidays, also public holidays, but what kind of vacations do the kids/teachers get for summer etc? I guess Christmas isn't a big deal, but surely they have breaks in between semesters? Thanx Last edited by gfell; Wed 15-Nov-06 at 10:17 PM. |

![]() | Public Holidays in South Korea Wikipedia has a great source of info on public holidays in South Korea. As a general guideline (dates do vary slightly with the lunar calendar each year):
The law in Korea states that public holidays don't need to be paid, however most schools are kind enough to pay it. Best to consult your contract as the dates of holidays are usually found within.
