![]() | Phone Booths in Korea Where to use a Phone Card in Korea Korea's public phones are now a dying invention. When I first came to teach in Korea, I would be lucky to find a phone booth where I didn't have to line up for. Nowadays, I can take my pick at a multitude of vacant phone booths. Fewer phone booths means life is a little more difficult for us teachers and travellers in Korea. I rely a lot on my phone card in Korea to call overseas. I'm losing sleep at nights just praying that the telcos don't take away my loved phone booth in my area. If this happens, I will probably blow my budget by using the landline to call overseas. So what should I do? I've heard about call back services to my cell phone. I've heard about Skype, but this would mean I need a computer and headset. I've heard about praying, and this is what I will be doing for the time being. ![]() Ray Meers (English Teacher - Pusan, South Korea)
