New Zealander is on a distinguished road
New Zealander Available

Hello All Members

I currently live in New Zealand with my Korean wife - we intend to live now in Seoul as we have had our first child and want to take him back to the "family"
I can arrange an F2 visa but however do not have bachelor dgree - are there any jobs out there that would allow me to earn a living in Seoul even if it wasnt teaching english - I just want to take my wife back home !!!!

Or an alternative would be Japan or China or somewhere close enough - here in new Zealand is about 14 hours flight away

I am English speaking - 192cm tall - keen sportsman and friendly - Id even work in McDonalds if I was able too !!!

Is there anyone with any knowledge, advice for us or someone that can give me some guidance so my wife can be in her hometown happy!!

Kind regards

New Zealander

Re: New Zealander Available

Korean immigration rules tend to be very stubborn on requirements of English teachers. Whilst you can get an F2 visa (spouse visa), currently the Ministry of Education requires English teachers to have the below qualifications:
  • Minimum Bachelor's degree from a native English speaking country
  • Passport from a native English speaking country
This means schools regulated by the public system are subject to these qualifications for their teachers. Therefore, I recommend you apply to Hagwons as they will still look at you.
