Smile Looking to teach in South Korea....

Hello, my name is Austin Hunter and I have recently graduated from college and i've heard and read many stories about teaching in Korea how its a great way for me to pay off student loans and at the same time experience a very diverse culture.

To be very honest I just want a change in my life and this seems like a great way to do it. Anyways moving on... I have a few questions and anyone who is willing to answer it would be greatly appreciated.

I want to teach younger children like kindergarten/elementary and I've heard kindergarten jobs pay more is this correct?? What is standard of living?? Is it really up pace?? What places tend to have the younger teachers??

Any other info anyone can help me with would appreciated... Thanks, Austin Hunter

Kindergarten jobs do not necessarily pay more than adults. I would rather think the opposite.

All depends on the school you are teaching at. If it's just a local language school operated by a family, then don't expect to earn much. If it's an international school, expect to earn more.

Once again, the smaller schools tend to have the more inexperienced and younger teachers.

With experience and qualifications, your teaching salary will go up.

there is large demand for K/elem teachers, and pay CAN BE better than the norm. but most of these demand a female teacher.

just as good as Canada/USA, but keep in mind the language barrier, that your food options are more limited

all up to the school - ask the agent/school if it is very important, then don't sign a contract till you talk to the other teachers (that's plural BTW) (good idea anyhow)
