Interviews?

buksuwon

I got an interview arranged with the above school arranged through Think Outside Recruiting today but I never got a call to have an interview.

Has anyone else experienced a let down like this? I'm hoping it was a mix up with the recruiter and the shchool but I'm beginning to think the job's already taken or the like

Any ideas?

Re: Interviews?

I wouldn't worry too much. In some cases, agents will treat you as a number and if the position gets filled in the mean-time, then they wont have the decency to inform you about it.

Give them a call and find out what's happening!

Re: Interviews?

Crap. They phoned at 16:00. I'd been sitting with my notes all day waiting for the call then they phoned while I was walking home from work. I didn't hear the phone in my pocket and missed it.

Ah well.

Registering with a few more recruiters so hopefully I'll get another interview soon.

Re: Interviews?

Yeh, a bit slack on their behalf. Why don't you call them back and re-schedule?

Re: Interviews?

Yeah, tried phoning them back but got and answer machine message. But, recruiter phoned me this morning to explain it all.

They'd miscalculated the time difference (not used to dealing with Uk) and it's been re-arranged. Sweet.

Hopefully all goes well, I've been in a state of readiness for long enough.

Yeah a follow-up call would clear up everything

Re: Interviews?

Well, WOHOO! I got news yesterday that they'd like to employ me.

It's through think outside recruiting who seem to be fairly reputable and the school are Buksuwon SLP.

I'd seen somewhere else, somone posting about SLP, had to evacuate the site though as my boss was walking past. Does anyone know of any problems related to SLP? (I realise that's not very precise but I know very little else about it).

Has anyone worked in Buksuwon even, that would be interesting too?

Thanks for the replies so far too. This site is proving very useful.

Re: Interviews?

Congrats on getting the job! Let's hope you enjoy the year ahead. Teaching is a great job and I'm sure you'll learn a lot about the culture you're immersed in.

Cheers!
