how early to apply

Am looking to teach English in Korea from around October this year. Should I start applying now or wait til the date gets closer?

Still a bit early. I would start applying about 6 weeks prior.

Yep, I agree. Actually, if you really want to know, you can apply from 1 week before. There are always schools and recruiters will to take you on asap.

There are always teaching jobs on offer in Asian countries. Big demand for English teachers. Best to wait til you arrive to the country as this is the most productive.

Sure, you can apply beforehand, but really not necessary unless you are going for the pretigious university jobs etc.

Exclamation 6 to 8 weeks before

I suggest looking early - the earlier you start the better chance you have of finding a good position. if you rush, you might rush into something unpleasant.

Do you have ALL your papers? Are they all SCANNED into jpeg form?
You also need a copy of your transcript - left unopened - as mailed by your university.

6 to 8 weeks is fine for the peak period in March, but like I said...............

BTW, uni jobs usually go to MA/PhD holders, and are often advertised 6 months in advance
