![]() | Working in a Japanese company as a salaryman So you want to work in a Japanese company? Well think again! I spent a few years working in a Japanese company and got no-where. Sometimes I feel like I had to run around naked waving my dick in the air just to get anybody to notice me, but that is not necessarily a complaint. Just a fitting end to the surreal experience of pretending to be a Japanese salaryman for the past 4 years. It never worked, and I never felt like I could actually engage with anyone here on a meaningful level. I have lost count of how many people asked me what foods I like and if I can use chopsticks - and then basically never talked to me again. Believe it or not, this category includes most of the bosses that I have had. If you want work other than teaching English in Japan, then do yourself a favor and apply only to western companies. Japanese companies just suck too much. |
