¥4000 working visa issueClarification When you apply for a working visa to teach in Japan, you are typically issued a 12-month visa the first time. The visa can be either 12 months or 3 years. When you get a working visa, it's optional but a good idea to get a re-entry permit. If you don't, and head out of Japan for a holiday with the intention on coming back, immigration wont allow you back it. The re-entry permit allows you back into Japan to continue on your working visa. A re-entry permit is ¥3000 or if you think you will head out of Japan more than once, it's best to get a multiple re-entry permit. That's what I did. Especially recommended if you get a 3 year visa. You probably would need to leave Japan at least once a year to keep your sanity. ![]()
