Gday champ i'm a newbie and it seems you know what it is your talking about so I was wondering if you could help me out? I've got a tesol cert and focused mainly on Adults English, but no degree I don't have any prior teaching exp apart from what was done in my course and stuff I've done for work but thats it and I wanna teach in Japan either near tokyo or in Osaka, is there any chance of me getting full time work as a teacher? Would you recommend anywhere in particular I should look eg websites etc. I'm an aussie citz lived here all my life but I have a new zealand passport thinking of getting dual but thats a different matter anyway will this pose as a problem with my current passport situation? Is there a way to be able to get a working visa for at least a year or more? FYI im 24 so im not old. If getting a visa for working full time is a problem is there a way around this situation?
I also have my own business with our laws can I use that as an excuse to obtain a visa to work in Japan? thats all for now thanks for your time any help would be very much apprecited cheers mate.

Lightbulb Visas in Japan

Hello Alvinm1,

It's possible to get a work visa by sponsoring yourself if you already have a business. Will be difficult though as you need to prove that the business you do in Japan requires you to live and work in Japan.

The easiest way for you is to apply a Working Holiday Visa in Japan. A working holiday visa is available to the following passport holders:
  • Australia
  • New Zealand
  • Canada
  • Korea
  • Germany
  • United Kingdom
You must also be aged between 18 and 30 at the time of application.

Hope this info helps!
