![]() | Total Noob Hi everyone! I was originally planning to teach in Korea because I've lived there for a couple of months and I know the language, etc, but apparently immigration laws only allow citizens from US, Australia, UK, etc to be ESL teachers. My citizenship is German. Would that be a problem in Japan? I speak English on a native level and I have a fair amount of experience in teaching Korean and Japanese students. I graduate from the University in March and I really need a job by then. Is it possible to apply for a job entirely over the internet? Sooo many questions. >_< Can anyone give me a clue on how to go about this best? Thanks! |

![]() | Re: Total Noob addendum: while browsing through some of the threads i realized that it's probably better to just go to japan and apply on-location. so here's another question. with a BS in Psychology, no TESOL/TEFL certificate but with ESL teaching experience, how high would the chances be for me to get hired? And how long does it take on average to get a job? Do they hire you and then help you get a VISA or do you have to have it beforehand? |
