![]() | prescription meds in japan Hello Everyone, Just want to say that this forum is great! Its been really helpful. I have been accepted to work for NOVA, and probably going to Japan in February, or latest March 1st. My question is: what is the deal with Japan and prescription meds? I have heard that you are only allowed to bring a month supply, any more and they may charge you with attempting to sell them? Also, how likely is it to find a doctor to get a prescription while you are there? Should you just try to have your meds shipped from Canada (or US)? Any thoughts, advice, etc is much appreciated!! Thank you!! Last edited by gfell; Wed 25-Oct-06 at 09:32 AM. |

I have brought a year's supply and sometimes even more into Japan with any questions whatsoever. Quote:
Vitamins and mineral supplements may be subject to tax so beware. Best is to use "prescription medicine" on those too.
