![]() | Hello Sean! Will you be having a work visa when you go to Japan? Have a few jobs in Kobe area, however they are part-time and will require the teacher to have a valid visa.

![]() | Teaching in Kansai area Hi Antonio, I am over 30 and therefore I believe that I need to obtain sponsorship for a 12 month contract in Japan (unable to pick up a working visa before arriving in Japan). Am I incorrect in believing this? I think that it would be better to find sponsorship for me, but Jen (my fiance) is under 30 and therefore can obtain a working visa quite easily without being sponsored if needed. Cheers, Sean |

![]() | teaching in Kansai Hello Sean, Based on your background, a university teaching job would best suit you. Do a search in the Japan forum for such jobs. Your fiance can get a working holiday visa prior to arriving as she is under 30. In your situation, you would need to find a full-time job once in Japan to get your sponsorship and visa. I know Excel (subsidiary of Panasonic), may have part-time jobs available next year, so this could suit both you and your fiance. Many university teachers also teach at Panasonic during the evenings to supplement their income too. Let me know when you arrive and I can then see what I know of that is available.
