Red face International Parties - sleeze or not?

Well, I finally decided to try out one of these international parties held every month in Tokyo. I've been living in Japan for 6 months now. Before going to these parties, I thought they were innocent enough but the one I went to was the pitts.

It was just a bunch of horny white guys looking to pickup easy Japanese girls. Anyway else had this type of experience? Or was I just unlucky with this event. The guys would also drink themselves stupid.... Don't they have any respect in themselves?

Hahaha.... had to laugh. Maybe you had a bad experience. The ones in Taiwan are much better with a more mature audience. Maybe you were just unlucky.

They are not all sleezy parties. Went to a few in Tokyo myself and they seemed alright. You were probably just unlucky.

Yeh, maybe was just unlucky.

There's another international party coming up this month, so I will give it another go.

Am just looking for some nice Japanese people to speak Japanese with. But the problem with trying to learn Japanese in Japan is that all the Japanese want to learn English. So there is a conflict of interest. Both parties are trying to speak in the other language in an effort to master it.

Good luck! Hope you enjoy the international party. Wish there were some in my area, but I teach in a small town out in the country.... but it's nice and relaxing where I am.
