![]() | Fake phonecards in Japan Does anyone know where I can get some fake phonecards here in Japan? I used to use them before about 10 years ago, but since do they no longer exist?

![]() | Fake phonecard in Japan Hello Columbus, As far as I know, many of the phones now in Japan have been changed to no longer accept fake phonecards. If you use a fake phonecard now, the phone will eat it and beep a loud warning sound. Just be careful...

![]() | Yeh, I've experienced this. But I think the new fake phonecards are now more advanced and no longer have that metal strip on them.

![]() | Hang out in the streets near Shibuya in Tokyo. You will notice some Iranians or darker skinned foreigners just hanging around. They will eye you and you eye them back. Then walk over and ask for some phone cards. That easy! ![]() |
