Smile English teacher looking for a job! Kansai

Hello

I'm Erik, born 1986 from Sweden. I'm looking for a job as an English or Swedish teacher in the Nara/Osaka area. I'm not a native English speaker but my relatives and friends are so I've been speaking English almost my whole life. I've done extensive studies both in Swedish and English and I've got a Swedish driver's license. I also love children, I've got a 3 year old brother ^_^ and he's already speaking a little Japanese :P

Two years ago I went to Japan, Nara an exchangestudent. I got quite an impression from my visit and I feel in love with the city Nara. I also know a little Japanese, I'm not fluent but I think I can make my self understood.

I havn't got a work VISA, so I would deeply appreciate it if you could help me out on that part.

I might as well write something about me. I love to travel, play tennis and snowboard. Besides that I'm fluent in a few computer languages such as C/C++, PHP etc. Oh yea, I also love Manga and Asian dramas! ^_^

Also note that I lack a bachelor's degree.

Best Regards, Erikku

Without a degree, difficult to teach in Japan

Hi Erikku,

Being a non-native English speaker isn’t as hard as other countries to getting teaching work in Japan. However, as you don’t hold a bachelor degree, attaining work will be quite difficult for you in Japan.

Perhaps you can consider a cultural visa or look at teaching in China instead. Most Asian countries will require a bachelor degree for visa purposes.
