![]() | Certificate IV in TESOL I have my certificate IV in TESOL and have been told by numerous schools in Japan that I cannot work there, since I don't have a bachelors degree. I was looking into doing a bachelors of education primary but dont have enough money to do a course before that. Any who, I was wondering if I flew over to japan would I be able to make some good money even with only my certificate, I really wanna teach over there. I know I cannot teach in Australia except the odd study tour, but either way i will work my way into education somehow I was wondering if you think I should sit tight and obtain a loan so I can do the course and uni before going over seas, or should I find a company and go.I have seen some places that offer transport help health accomodation etc.. But the problem is with most of those you need a bachelors degree. I am just a little faint hearted at the moment so any info on anything at all would be a great help! |

![]() | How old are you and what country do you come from? Have you enquired about the Working Holiday Program? If eligible, I would do that if I were you and study part-time via correspondence at Uni. |

![]() | Go to http://www.japan.org.au/Wvisa.htm for information on the Working Holiday Program in Japan. You will be able to get a Working Holiday visa, hence there is no need to have a degree in order to teach in Japan. You may want to enrol in Uni via correspondence though on a part-time basis whilst teaching. |

![]() | Thank you for your help Geroge, I appreciate it! I was looking at quite alot of jobs and they do require uni degrees, but also I have heard so many stories of people teaching teaching without any sort of certificate/degree. I was wondering if those jobs are easy to come by? |

Although many jobs may stipulate a university degree is required, if you contact them and tell them you hold a Working Holiday Visa, then I'm pretty postive they will still look at you. You may also want to try Nova or Aeon as they recruit from outside Japan and don't mind hiring working holiday makers. |

If you wan't to find heaps of anime icons and avatars go to this link, you will need a program to make them 80x80 pixels, but ms paint does that http://www.digik.net/avatars.php?x=series Click the series and away you go! |
