![]() | Dear Archie, It's very rare for Japanese employers to pay airfare upfront. Furthermore, teaching in Japan rarely provides free accommodation as is the case in Korea. Genarally speaking, Japanese employers will only pay the key money when moving into an apartment. Most cases you would only be moving into an apartment the previous teacher has just moved out.
