Teach International is a global leader in TESOL training with 5500+ graduates teaching English around the world.
Based in Brisbane, Australia, the organization is expanding to Canada. We are seeking qualified, highly motivated TESL/TESOL professionals in major cities across the country to work part-time as teacher trainers on Teach International's internationally recognized, blended-delivery TESOL certificate course. Teacher training positions require a time commitment of 3 weeknights and two full weekend days per course.
Position description:- Co-leading a blended-delivery TESOL training course (five days) in your home city as scheduled by Teach International (max. of one course per month)
- Supervising or arranging for the supervision of practice teaching for course participants
- Conducting periodic information sessions in home city and occasionally elsewhere as needed
- Keeping up-to-date with TESOL industry and opportunities worldwide via ongoing research
- Providing TESOL-related guidance to course graduates via email correspondence
- Assisting with course marketing (no experience needed)
- Conducting ongoing research, and assisting with development of Student Centre
Candidate qualifications:- MA/M.Ed in TESL/TESOL, Education or Linguistics (preferred), Bachelor's degree plus TESL Canada approved TESL/TESOL certificate (required)
- TESL Canada Certificate Level 3 (or equivalent)
- Minimum of 5 total years of ESOL teaching experience including a minimum of 2 years spent abroad
- An understanding of and appreciation for Communicative Language Teaching
- Passion for teaching and travel
- Outstanding communication skills
- Excellent computer and Internet skills
- Commitment to professional development
- Strong interest in assisting with research and course development
- Interest in assisting with course marketing (no prior experience needed)
- Self-motivated; able to work well with little or no supervision
