Telephone English Tutors Needed in Toronto

Open to Toronto and GTA residents only.

This is an opportunity to teach in Korea from Canada by 1:1 phone English tutoring.

WideSpace Co. Ltd. is an English education company. We are currently recruiting tutors to teach Business English to our clientele which consists mainly of Korean corporate employees. As the head office of WideSpace continues to expand its corporate client base in Korea, its subsidiary branch here in Toronto must recruit the tutors needed to service this growing demand to speak and understand English in the native tongue. As one of our employees, you would teach 1:1 RPM English to our clients over the telephone from home. The lessons are conducted using our standard RPM curriculum and guidelines. Successful candidates must be able to deliver the lessons of our curriculum using excellent English, in a fun and friendly manner. Previous experience is appreciated but not necessary. Training is provided.

Qualifications

• University Graduate OR currently in your 3rd or 4th year of University
• TESOL is an asset
• Speak excellent English in the standard neutral accent
• Culturally sensitive and able to confidently deal with language barriers
• Ability to supplement curriculum material with useful and interesting discussions
• Ability to keep the conversation constantly flowing between tutor and student
• Outgoing personality with an energetic and pleasant voice

Scheduling:
Most of the shifts are in the early morning or early evening. We also have late morning or late evening shifts. You may work more than one shift as long as you do not exceed a total of 8 hours per day. Shifts range in length from 1 to 8 hours.

Additional Information:
This is a 6 months contract position, renewable upon expiry.
This is a telecommuting job.
You must work on Canadian holidays and rest on Korean holidays.
Textbooks and long distance calling cards are provided.
