TEFL Trainer for Community Development Expedition in Thailand

Train Expedition Members to gain a TEFL qualification with the minimum of resources. Teaching English and Environmental Education to local children and adults, aid Expedition Leader with budgeting, logistics, class and activity planning.

Qualifications:
  • Applicants should have experience as a TEFL trainer, and an interest in environmental conservation and community development.
  • Applicants with Thai language skills as well as experience living and teaching in Thailand are encouraged to apply.
  • Will also consider qualified TEFL teachers with minimum 5 years of varied experience including teaching in communities with few resources.
  • Experience in managing volunteers also an advantage.
  • Thai Nationality an advantage but definitely not essential

Global Vision International, (Volunteer Abroad, Volunteering overseas, International Expeditions, Overseas TEFL courses), was formed in 1998 to provide support and services to international charities, non profits and governmental agencies. Through their international network of 50 personnel in over 20 countries GVI continues to support many of the most critical conservation and humanitarian projects around the globe. GVI is a non-political, non-religious organization, which through its alliance with aid-reliant organizations throughout the world provides opportunities to Volunteers to fill a critical void in the fields of environmental research, conservation, education and community development. To date over 1500 volunteers have joined projects resulting in the direct financial support of over UK £2million

Location:

The expedition will be based in the Ao Luk district of the Krabi province of Thailand. Accommodation is basic but within a beautiful region

Conditions:

$100 usd per week plus all in field food and accommodation and a flight contribution paid in installments. The successful applicant will have to supply their own emergency medical insurance
