Arrow Teaching in Russia

Opening for 1 English Teacher to start teaching around August 18th, 2007.

About Hello English

We are a small English school located in Togliatti, a medium sized city on the banks of the Volga River. We're about a day's train ride east of Moscow.

Conditions:

- 10 month contract (August 2007 – June 2008)
-24 hours of teaching per week
- mostly adults and teenagers, small class size
- $500 a month *this is a very good salary for Russia: Living in Togliatti is cheaper than Moscow (a cd/dvd - $3 US; lunch in a restaurant - $5) Although some places offer more money, they often do not provide housing, and that is very expensive in Moscow.

Really though, nobody teaches Russia to get rich. You'll have more than enough to cover your living expenses though, and numerous opportunities to see more of the country.

Benefits
  • free private, furnished flat very close to the school
  • $500 US end of contract bonus
  • 3 months of free Russian language lessons
  • small library of teaching materials/texts
  • most classes taught at our center
  • internet access
  • friendly staff

Qualifications:
  • Native English speaker
  • TEFL / CELTA or recognized teaching certificate
  • B.A./B.S DEGREE
  • Some teaching experience, preferably overseas
  • Patient, flexible and have a sincere interest in Russian culture.

To Apply

Your cover letter should also explain why you want to teach in Russia, and a little about your teaching experience. Have you been to Russia before? What are your expectations? What do you enjoy most / least about teaching? Why Russia?

Send a cover letter, resume and first page of passport to Michael Sherman at togliattienglish@gmail.com. Successful applicants will be contacted by email to arrange a telephone interview. Good luck!

We need a teacher who can commit by the 2nd week of July, as the invitation letter and visa paperwork takes time to prepare. Please - only email if you are serious, qualified and ready to go.
