As part of the King Faisal School's drive to improve the quality of its educational provision, the English Department wishes to fill 2 vacancies which have arisen due to reorganization. The English Department is 1 of the most successful academic divisions in the King Faisal School and is seeking 2 suitably qualified professionals for the posts below:

1) Deputy Head of English

The Deputy Head of English will assist the Head of English in the running of the department. Duties will include teacher training, supervision, organization of workshops, curriculum development, strategic planning, recruitment, public relations, liaising between the department and general administration as well as troubleshooting. The English Department is divided into four sections; Elementary School, Intermediate School, High School and the University Preparation Program. The Deputy Head of English will serve the whole department but will be based in the Elementary School as part of the school's commitment to improve early learning.

Start Date: ASAP, early February at the latest

Pay and Conditions

• 33,300 USD (inc. bonus) per year tax free

Minimum Criteria

• Native English speaker (British, US, Canadian, Irish, Australian, NZ)
• 55 Years old or under
• Male
• Bachelor's Degree in English or Education
• 5 Years Experience
• Computer Literate
• Non-smoker
• Fit to work in Saudi Arabia

Desirable Criteria

• Master's Degree in English, Applied Linguistics, TESOL or Education
• Teaching Certificate (CELTA, DELTA, PGCE, QTS etc.)
• Supervisory Experience
• Elementary Teaching Experience
• Workshop Experience
• Curriculum Development Experience
• Advanced Computer Skills (PowerPoint, Excel etc.)
• Middle East Experience
• Willing to consider medium term commitment to the King Faisal School

2) English Teacher

An English Teacher is required to work with students in all sections of the English Department, including remedial work and covering duties.

Start Date: ASAP, early February at the latest
