About GEC

We are a newly established school in Pekanbaru, Indonesia, who are committed to provide English language education excellence to our growing numbers of students. Unlike other franchise schools in the country, we are a very unique institution that focuses on our students’ learning needs as well as our teachers’ individual teaching styles. Our flexibility to ensure that our students and teachers maximize their potentials gives our school an edge to attract more individuals to join our school.

Our students range between the ages of 3 and 65 (70% children vs. 30% adults). We offer basic grammar, conversation, TOEFL/TOEIC/IELTS, business and professional classes in a friendly and nurturing environment.

Job Overview

We are looking for adventurous and dedicated English teachers who are:

• from English-speaking countries (US, UK, Canada, Wales, Ireland, Scotland, Australia, New Zealand, etc)
• possess a 4-year degree from an accredited university or college
• have at least a year of teaching English in a foreign country
• expected to teach maximum up to 125 teaching hours per month

Our competitive compensation package is to include:

• fixed salary that is much higher than salaries of local doctor or engineer
• accommodation with AC, electricity, and maid service
• medical allowance
• transportation
• generous paid holidays

Cost of Living Guide

- US$1 = approximately Rp9000
- Minimum monthly wage of local people in Pekanbaru is US$73 (and you will be compensated multiple times the local wage)
