Teaching Opportunity: Quito, Ecuador

I wanted to tell you about an amazing job opportunity to teach English in Quito, Ecuador. This is working at a preschool/elementary school and you would be teaching to children between 2-8 years old. I currently live in the U.S., but have worked at ChildrenGenios in Quito 3 separate times since 2001 and it was an AMAZING job. The school is looking for a teacher to go to Quito for a minimum of 2-3 months to teach. They have asked me to help in the process of finding a teacher to go to Ecuador. They are looking for someone to come as soon as possible.

To give you the background, you would be working at this preschool/elementary school (through 3rd grade) every morning from 8am~2pm. After the day is over, you have time to take Spanish classes, teach other classes at other institutes of do whatever you want.

The staff here is Amazing!!! It is run by a family and if you decide and are hired to go, you have the option of making this a homestay as well. The house is next door to the school, so in exchange for some of your salary, you could live with an amazing Ecuadorian family, eat ethnic food, and they will treat you like royalty. I lived here before and it was a great experience. The daughter, Alejandra, is the current English teacher and is completely fluent in English. However, they are looking for exhange teachers. The other advantage of the homestay is that you can learn Spanish at the same time, being immersed in the language.

In terms of pay, we will have to talk with the school, depending on how long you want to stay, and if you want the homestay included/meals, etc.

It is an amazing experience and trust me when I say you will not find better quality and supportive teachers than this school.

I have taught at many schools in quito, and this is by far the best. Ecuador as a country is great and you will love it. The people, the country, it is all amazing. Trust me when I say this is an opportunity that you cannot pass over!!!
