WE ARE NOW ALSO ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FROM TEFL-QUALIFIED TEACHERS FOR SEPTEMBER AND OCTOBER 2005. IN ADDITION TO OUR TEFL GRADUATES WE WILL BE HIRING ADDITIONAL TEFL QUALIFIED TEACHERS.

The Caledonian School (www.caledonianschool.com), the largest combined language school and TEFL training center in Prague and one of the largest in Europe, is currently accepting applications from qualified and willing-to-be qualified English teachers who want to work for us in Prague or in one of our more than 20 locations throughout Czech Republic. Teachers working outside of Prague receive special housing bonus.

MORE ABOUT THE INTERNATIONAL TEFL PROGRAM CERTIFICATE COURSE

For teachers without a TEFL certificate we offer an INTERNATIONAL TEFL PROGRAM certificate course for those individuals who are looking for an initial 4-week qualification. The course is offered throughout the year. Our summer and September courses in Prague fill early. This course requires no commitment to the school, but nearly all teachers who do the course work for us following the course. Teachers who successfully complete the course are guaranteed a job with the school - which makes the course rather unique. Post-course teaching usually consists of General English or English Conversation classes either in our school, with our corporate clients or with Caledonian School classes in Czech state schools. We know of no other language school in Europe which offers a teach-where-you-train TEFL course and provides so much post-course assistance - including arranging of work permits and residency visas. Teachers who successfully complete the August or September TEFL courses will
start teaching at the school one to two weeks after the course.

Teachers who already have a standard TEFL certificate (4-week course with teaching practice) do NOT need to take our TEFL course. We welcome applications from teachers with other TEFL certificates.

The Czech Republic entered the European Union last year. The Caledonian School continues to arrange work permits and residency visas for all of its full-time teachers, both EU and non-EU citizens.

The Caledonian School organized Prague's LINGUA FORUM 2005 conference with the support of Oxford University Press and Cambridge University Press. The conference, which was accredited by the Czech Ministry of Education, attracted over 400 teachers from around the Czech Republic and received local press coverage.
