American Pacific University (APU) - Vietnam is currently looking for qualified English teachers (native speakers) for its Summer 2008 quarter (begins on June 2) and beyond. Both short-term and long-term contracts are available.


APU-Vietnam offers competitive compensation packages to its faculty based on educational qualifications and teaching experience. For qualified candidates, compensation packages will include free housing, visa renewal, and reimbursement of a round-trip plane ticket after one year of employment.

REQUIREMENTS:

• A bachelor’s degree (or higher) from a university in an English-speaking country

• An English-language teaching certificate (TESOL/TEFL/CELTA or equivalent) from a recognized provider – certificates obtained from on-line courses are not acceptable

• Teaching experience preferred, but not required

• Excellent communication skills

• Ability to teach high school students and create a dynamic classroom atmosphere

• North American English speakers and professions remain highly preferred

• Self-motivated, responsible, creative, energetic, and intellectually curious

• Professional

• Desire to develop as a global educator and interest in student-centered practices
