| Seeking teachers to teach in partner schools in New York City With a shared vision for raising student achievement and innovative practices in teaching and learning, New Visions schools are working together to make a lasting impact in the futures of 30,000 New York City students. Start: September 2008 New Visions, a partnership support organization (PSO) with the NYC Department of Education, works with over seventy New York City public schools to provide additional school-wide support and instructional coaching. At this time, our schools have the strongest need for teachers in math, science, ESL, special education, English, social studies, physical education, bilingual education, and Spanish. New York City's schools need motivated, highly-qualified teachers who can make a significant impact on the lives of their students. With the support of school officials, New Visions staff, and community organizations, New Visions teachers are able to engage students in a highly personalized, rigorous, and authentic learning experience, preparing them for high school graduation and future academic success.
