CELTA & In-house Trainer neeeded
Looking for a full-time in-house & CELTA teacher-trainer in pursuit of the highest standards throughout its ELT programmes.
The principal areas of responsibility are as follows:-
- Coordination and implementation of all CELTA courses offered by LLV during the year, currently 4 courses p.a.
- Development of our outreach programme to Vietnamese teachers across the range of primary, secondary & tertiary level public & private institutions.
- Coordination and development of our in-house teacher development programme; we project teaching staff of approximately 100, based in 4 centres in Ha Noi, with 4 DoSs & 4 Academic Coordinators.
Language Link Vietnam has an international teaching staff in all of its centres, reflecting a wide range of experience and interests in ELT, with both full- and part-time teachers. Courses cover a broad spectrum of language skills & levels, from Junior Young Learners to IELTS & TOEFL courses, a dynamic Business English sector for corporate clients and an International Foundation Year programme for overseas university admission.
The successful applicant will have relevant background experience to focus on selected areas in addition to developing the broad range of communicative teaching skills for our staff.
The post is offered on a 40-hour, 5-day week on-site basis. CELTA training contact hours will be time-tabled on a Monday-Friday basis only; it is anticipated that the in-house and local teacher development contact hours will of necessity involve periodic Saturday/Sunday contact hours, for which weekdays will be given in lieu, as appropriate.
The post and package offered are likely to interest a recently qualified trainer who, in addition to the CELTA programme and in-house teacher development, is looking also to expand her/his teacher-training experience with non-native-speaker English teachers, an exciting area of communicative skills development in Vietnam. The post could also offer considerable satisfaction to a more experienced trainer who wishes to become involved in local teacher development, whilst retaining mainstream CELTA work.
We anticipate that post applicants will be prepared to commit themselves to a 2-year period in the first instance in order to shape and sustain a high-quality & high-profile department within Language Link Vietnam. A full job description and detailed remuneration package will be forwarded to applicants on receipt of expressions of interest, with C.V, including copies of qualifications and names of three referees.
