Cheery English is a growing English education company based in Shanghai - a booming, international, cosmopolitan metropolis in China. The company has its own training center, and mainly collaborates with 20+ international elementary schools in Shanghai to bring quality English curriculum to their students. As a teacher for Cheery you'll be assigned to teach at 2-3 schools during the week. We integrate our ESL programs into the regular curriculum of these schools, so as a teacher with us you will get a chance to work in the local school system and teach a variety of different levels. We have an English Training Center located in the heart of Shanghai where you will have access to teaching resources and high-speed internet! What will you teach? Cheery's teachers learn to incorporate a variety of methods into their classes. In our classes we utilize cutting-edge textbooks from the American publisher Longman. The curriculum is fun and easy to learn. As you will be working in a primary school you must love songs and games! We fully embrace the philosophy of learning through play. Teachers will be equipped with teacher's manuals, picture flashcards, games, activities, music, etc. You may also have a Chinese assistant in the class with you to help manage the students and translate when necessary. Each week the actual teaching time will not exceed 25 hours. (This does not include breaks or time spent commuting.) Most teachers work normal school day hours, Monday-Friday, with the weekend free. Cheery's teachers never work evenings! You may be expected to teach kindergarten, elementary/primary school, or junior high school. Classes generally have 20-40 students (5-10 for after-school classes.) If you think you might be interested, please send your CV, current photo, copy of diploma, and copy of your passport to cheeryenglish@gmail.com. Thanks for taking interest in Cheery English! Please contact us soon if you're interested. |
