Temporary Hire Summer Class Teacher Position

Kenneth's English School is a western owned and managed school in Jilin looking for temporary contract teachers during our summer day classes.

This is a temporary position consisting of ten teaching days over a two week period

There are two ten day instructional periods we are looking to fill:
Period 1: Monday 07 Jul through Friday 18 July
Period 2: Monday 21 Jul through Friday 01 August.

Our school is located in Jilin City, Jilin Province (N.E. China 1.5 hours from Changchun). Shared hotel housing downtown near the school is provided. Pay is 3,000 RMB per week (35 hours weekly ).
Camp runs Monday through Friday 08:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Each day is split into two 3.5 hour sessions. Each 3.5 hour session is composed of approximately three instructional blocks with breaks, including a thirty minute supervised indoor exercise period. Lunch is from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. Your weekends and evenings are free time.

Curricula and craft materials are provided. Lunch meal is provided during teaching days. Travel allowance and visa services are not provided.

Class sizes are 25 to a max of 30 students. Students are from our school and are familiar with our rules and behavioral expectations. Students range from five to sixteen years of age. At least one Chinese Teaching Assistant will be with you in each class.

Our curricula consist of teaching social/life skills (sharing, cooperation, responsibility, bullying, and peer pressure) science, nature, and public speaking. We don't teach only the usual English Textbook type of course during these classes. Many academic classes are followed by a related craft activity.

Every teacher who has taught at our camps has commented that it has been the fastest days of teaching they have ever experienced.
