| Looking to teach in the western part of Beijing? About Us Aihua has operated in west Beijing for 7 years. We have a joint Irish and Chinese management, and we look after our teachers in a way that other schools don't. We have never delayed payments to our teachers, and we have always supported our teachers in every possible way. Teaching in China under anything other than a z-visa is against Chinese law. We work out of a single schoolhouse, and we typically have with us 15 foreign teachers and 40 Chinese members of staff. Our Foreign teachers are paired with our Chinese English teachers and they work together in the classroom. Although we teach all levels, the majority of our students are young learners, taught at our site and at local public schools. Benefits Starting teachers are paid 6200 RMB/month for 18 40-45 minute teaching periods/ week. For 21 teaching periods/ week, teachers are paid 7640 RMB/month. For 24 teaching periods/ week, teachers are paid 9080 RMB/month. After 6 months, teachers are paid 7200 RMB/month for 18 teaching periods. For 21 teaching periods/month teachers are paid 8640 RMB/month. For 24 teaching periods per week, teachers are paid 10080 RMB/month. 1. The initial monthly base rate of pay is 5000 RMB net for 78 teaching periods (45 mins) per month. After six months, the base rate of pay increases to 6000 RMB per month. After a year, the base rate of pay increases to 6500 RMB, and after 2 years to 7000 RMB. (A higher starting rate of pay may be negotiated for teachers with China experience.) 2. Overtime payments are calculated monthly. Overtime is paid at a rate of 120 RMB per hour. 3. Teachers are provided with school accommodation or a housing allowance of 1200 RMB per month. 4. At the completion of a one year contract teachers receive a bonus of 8000 RMB. 5. Teachers are entitled to 10 days paid holiday per year. 6. Teachers are paid for public holidays. 7. The school provides Travel Accident and Emergency Service Insurance for Beijing Foreign Experts. 8. Costs involved in acquiring a Z-visa for the teacher through standard procedures are covered by the school. 9. If a teacher takes on management duties for the school, an additional contract is drawn up, with additional wages and benefits to be added to the teaching wages and benefits. 10. Incoming airport transfer is provided by the school. Upon arrival at Beijing airport the teacher is provided with a cell phone on loan. A Chinese member of staff is assigned to assist the teacher to acclimatise to China, purchase a cell phone, pay bills, etc. 11. The teacher is provided with orientation and training. 12. Chinese lessons are provided by the school. The teacher is entitled to a one teaching period lesson per day 5 days per week, from Monday to Friday. Additional free lessons may be negotiated. 13. The teacher is not required to work on Christmas day. Required
